K.I.N.G.S. PROGRAMS

B2K Mentoring developed to promote mentorship and role model programs to provide guidance, encouragement, and positive examples for personal and academic growth, helping young men build self-confidence and resilience. 

Our mentorship program helps develop leadership skills through several mentor models (group, one on one/traditional, peer, and tag team mentoring) and support from experienced professionals in their field of interest.

 

  • Building Kings (Community Building & Empowerment): Foster a sense of belonging and empowerment within communities by creating safe, inclusive spaces where boys and young men can express themselves, celebrate their cultural identities, and engage in community-building activities. 

  • BK is a comprehensive life/social skills developmental program that provides young people with the confidence and skills necessary to successfully handle challenging situations.

  • BK provides workshops on financial literacy, time management, conflict resolution, and communication skills, equipping participants with essential tools for personal and professional success.

  • HIP-HOP (Cultural Awareness & Appreciation): Promote cultural awareness and appreciation to help young men embrace their heritage, build a strong sense of identity, and counteract negative stereotypes. 

  • HIP-HOP recognizing and embracing cultural identities are vital to promoting a positive sense of self-worth and pride among young men and boys of color. Creative arts initiatives, including music, dance, theater, and visual arts, can be powerful tools for self-expression, empowerment, and community building.

  • These programs provide opportunities for artistic exploration, mentorship from professional artists, and platforms for showcasing talent.

  • KINGS WELLNESS (Health and Well-being): Promote access to healthcare and mental health services, as well as encourage healthy lifestyles, to address the physical and mental health disparities experienced by boys and young men of color. 

  • KW will provide a wide range of physical health through sports and fitness activities and emphasize the importance of mental and emotional well-being. 

  • KW provide resources and support programs to address the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of boys and young men of color. KW participants build healthy relationships, healthy lifestyles, and access to healthcare services.

  • Reach 1-Teach 1 (Access to Quality Education): Ensure that boys and young men of color have access to quality educational opportunities, including equitable funding, diverse curricula, and well-qualified educators, to enhance their academic success.

  • R1-T1 provides activities and support services that enable our youth to achieve their educational goals, intellectual growth, and development. 

  • R1-T1 provide academic support and resources can help boys and young men of color excel in their education.
